El Paso-Gridley girls garner HOIC victory
COLFAX — A good start helped push El Paso-Gridley to a 59-42 Heart of Illinois Conference girls’ basketball victory over host Ridgeview on Monday. The Titans doubled Ridgeview’s output in the first quarter and outscored the Mustangs in each of the last three periods, as well, for the league win. 94th Pontiac Holiday Tournament pairings announced
The pairings for the 94th edition of the Pontiac Holiday Tournament were announceed Sunday afternoon. Defending champion Chicago (DePaul) received the top seed while Chicago (Curie) landed the second seed. Lisle (Benet), last year's runnerup, is seeded third and Winnetka (New Trier) grabbed the fourth seed. New to the tournament is Homewood-Flossmoor, who replaced Chicago (Simeon). The tournament will take place Dec. 29-31.
