Myli Ehrhardt ties career-best 33 points in El Paso-Gridley victory over Olympia

Myli Ehrhardt registered a double double, including matching a career-high in scoring to lead El Paso-Gridley to a 59-46 victory over Olympia in nonconference girls’ basketball Monday.



Ehrhardt dropped 33 points on the Spartans, matching her career-best. She also collected 10 rebounds on the night. The single-game scoring record in the EPG girls’ program history is 38 points from Kindi Bullard in a December 2008 game against Fisher.


Behind Ehrhardt, the Titans jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the first quarter and led 26-11 at the break. The margin was 44-28 after three periods. Ehrhardt had chalked up 28 points as the game entered the final frame.



Edie Stauter also registered a double double with her 10 points and 10 boards for El Paso-Gridley (15-10). Lily Wettstein scored 6 points and Sloan Gentes added 5.


Elise Eimer scored 15 points for Olympia (7-16). Lucy Prestegaard added 14.


Ridgeview 48, Fieldcrest 41

At Colfax, host Ridgeview had a good start the the second half and held Fieldcrest in check down the stretch for a 48-41 victory in a Heart of Illinois Conference girls’ basketball game Monday.



The Mustangs led 13-12 after one quarter and the Knights were able to even the score at 21-21 by halftime. Ridgeview then outscored its guests 16-9 for a 37-30 advantage heading into the last stanza.


Kamryn Rinkenberger had a game-high 17 points to pace Ridgeview. Abrielle Cavinder added 16.


Pru Mangan led Fieldcrest with 16points and TeriLynn Timmerman added 11 points.
